Terence Crawford showed off his stunning transformation as the former two-weight undisputed champion continues preparation for Canelo Alvarez.
Crawford, 37, has been training in Colorado for the September 13 super middleweight showdown, with images posted sparking talk over his muscular frame.
Crawford’s Radical Transformation
Bud is reportedly still walking around at 185 pounds just six weeks out, having posted an image just shy of cruiserweight earlier this year.
However, the image of Crawford weighing 17 pounds over the 168 limit brought immediate defense from Victor Conte, who went out of his way to state the pound-for-pound star is not using performance-enhancing drugs.
“Ain’t no stopping me,” said Crawford when posting the gym picture.
The SNAC founder dismissed social media speculation over the unified welterweight champion’s physique ahead of his historic clash with the Mexican undisputed champion.
Conte, who previously served time for his role in the BALCO scandal but has since become a vocal advocate for clean sport, addressed the rumors in a direct social media post.
Victor Conte Defends’ Bud’
“Enough about Terence Crawford weighing 185. It is six weeks until the fight. He will NOT weigh that on fight night,” insisted Conte.
“Yes, Terence is a dawg and highly skilled. He is not on PEDs and never has been. I was involved with PEDs 22 years ago. Because I may understand how to circumvent some of the tests does not mean I have done so since 2003.”
The San Francisco-based nutritionist then defended his current company, which also works with Devin Haney and other significant names.
“The speculation about SNAC is simply that. Terence may be the most intelligent boxer today. Accept and appreciate his tremendous talent.”

Transparency in Testing: Crawford’s Commitment to Clean Sport
Crawford and Canelo both officially enrolled in Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) testing on June 10, with Crawford undergoing his first test on June 13.
A follow-up test took place on June 19, and Conte shared Crawford’s first clean results, reinforcing his commitment to clean competition.
“Terence is being fully transparent as a leader of the anti-doping movement in boxing,” added Conte.
“Terence was tested again on June 19, 2025, and those test results will be forthcoming. Terence is being fully transparent as a leader of the anti-doping movement in boxing.”
In a sport rife with suspicion and accusations, Crawford’s proactive testing and public disclosure of VADA results sends a clear message: he’s ready to shock the world clean.
Whether he can dethrone Canelo Alvarez at 168 pounds remains to be seen — but one thing is sure: Terence Crawford isn’t hiding from scrutiny and, alongside the controversial Conte, he’s inviting it in.
