Boxing Results: Catterall vs Eubank coverage and undercard updates

World Boxing News brings you live results from Manchester Arena as Jack Catterall and Harlem Eubank collide in a pivotal welterweight battle live on DAZN.

Jack Catterall bids to get his career back on track following a setback against Arnold Barboza.

Meanwhile, the undefeated Eubank, cousin of Chris Sr., looks to grab a statement victory.

In the co-feature, former world champion Joe Cordina takes on Jaret Gonzalez.

Catterall vs Eubank Live Results

Jack Catterall won a technical decision against Harlem Eubank in a controversial ending to the Manchester main event.

The fight was a non-starter for most of the first six rounds until a massive clash of heads changed the course of the match.

Catterall came off the worse of the two despite Eubank also suffering a cut, but the aftermath left a bad taste in the mouth.

Despite the doctor and Catterall himself stating he could continue, other powers intervened to stop the fight, knowing the home fighter had done enough on the cards.

A rematch is undoubtedly needed.

Joe Cordina lost a couple of rounds but shook off the ring rust to move closer to another world title shot.

Jaret Gonzalez deserves credit for giving Cordina a fight, as the Welshman struggled at times and almost got dropped in the fight.

In the end, and being at home in the UK, the result was never in doubt.

Scores read 100-90, 99-91, and 98-92 after ten rounds.

Lightweight Aqib Fiaz survived a hard-fought battle with late replacement Alex Murphy.

The pair traded blows at will throughout, with the better quality work coming from Fiaz.

Ex-world champions Carl Frampton and Tony Bellew called for a rematch despite both believing Fiaz did enough in an entertaining clash.

After ten rounds, Fiaz took the win with all three judges.

In the aftermath, Fiaz described his triumph as “an off night.”

Pat Brown wins

Pat Brown wasted no time throwing bombs at Lewis Oakford to the delight of the Manchester crowd.

Brown hurt Oakford early before pinning him in the corner and ended the cruiserweight contest in the first round.

Super welterweight William Crolla cut a frustrated figure as the Manchester man suffered the first defeat of his career against Scotland’s Frazer Wilkinson.

Crolla couldn’t deal with Wilkinsons’s relentless pressure and took a knee in the fifth. And as Wilkinson piled it on again in the sixth, the referee stepped in, to the dismay of the home fighter.

Crolla loses for the first time in nine contests as Wilkinson moves to 12-2.

Newly minted super-bantamweight Skye Nicolson wasted no time stopping Carla Gonzales in the second round as the Australian made a successful debut at her favored weight.

Super-middleweight Niall Brown moved to 16-0 with only the sixth stoppage of his career in the opener.

The Stockport man had too much for Victor Ionescu, who failed to answer the bell for the fifth round.

Alfie Middlemiss improved to 4-0 with a decision against Mohammed Wako at featherweight.

Also on the card, heavyweight Leo Atang began his professional career with a first-round stoppage of Bulgarian Milen Paunov.
