Danny Garcia rolled back the years in spectacular fashion, delivering a one-punch knockout that stunned Brooklyn and reignited calls for another world title run.
In what was billed as his final appearance at Barclays Center, Garcia (38-4, 22 KOs) flattened Queens native Danny “El Gallo” Gonzalez (22-5-1, 7 KOs) with a picture-perfect left hook in round four of their Swift Promotions main event.
Vintage Swift: Danny Garcia’s Brooklyn Farewell Ends in Style
Garcia, a two-division world champion and one of the most accomplished fighters ever to headline at Barclays, dominated early behind crisp power shots before timing Gonzalez perfectly midway through the fight. Gonzalez couldn’t recover after hitting the canvas hard and, in subsequent attempts to get up, struggled to rise. The official stoppage came just 45 seconds into the fourth round.
“I knew when he stopped his feet, I was going to catch him,” Garcia said post-fight. “I didn’t underestimate him, but I knew my timing would come. The champ doesn’t come back halfway.”
It was a statement win that showcased vintage “Swift” precision — the same left hook that defined Garcia’s rise at 140 and 147 pounds. The performance immediately fueled fan speculation about whether the Philadelphia native could mount one final run toward another world crown.
Garcia left the door open.
“I’m happy. I’ve done a lot in my career, and this is a great way to end it — but I don’t know if I’m done yet.”

Rebirth and Final Title Run
Danny Garcia’s one-punch knockout was a reminder of his elite power and timing — and while the night was billed as a farewell, the performance looked more like a rebirth. If “Swift” chooses to fight again, he’s already proven he still belongs in the title conversation.
