Crawford vs Madrimov Pay Per View price raises eyebrows

The Crawford vs. Madrimov Pay-Per-View price on DAZN PPV is $79.99 for United States households and £24.99 for the United Kingdom.

When the announcement was made, many eyebrows were raised as Crawford has never been a PPV star, and Madrimov is a relatively unknown name outside boxing. Nonetheless, DAZN released a statement for the August 3 event confirming the monetary stipulations for viewing the Los Angeles card.

DAZN confirms Crawford vs Madrimov Pay Per View Price

Pound-for-pound undefeated great ‘Bud’ Crawford will challenge Israil ‘The Dream’ Madrimov for the WBA and WBO interim World Super-Welterweight title on August 3 at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles live and globally on DAZN PPV.

Crawford (40-0, 31 KOs), a US native, will move up yet another weight class to 154 pounds following his successful undisputed welterweight championship, which came after he delivered a TKO over Errol Spence Jr. last July. Uzbekistani Madrimov (10-0-1, 7 KOs) earned the WBA 154-pound crown in March following a fifth-round TKO over Kurbanov on the undercard of another Riyadh Season blockbuster. With Crawford having won his last eleven fights by stoppage, Madrimov will face a force with which he has yet to have contended.

Having conquered the Super-Lightweight, Lightweight, and now Welterweight divisions, the pound-for-pound Crawford seeks to secure his faultless legacy by claiming belts at a fourth weight.

Crawford and Madrimov will headline a sensational card that features premium clashes from beginning to end.

Undercard

WBA Super-Lightweight champion Isaac Cruz (26-2-1, 18 KOs) will look to defend his belt in his first world title defense against Jose Valenzuela (13-2, 9 KOs) while Cuban standout David Morrell (10-0, 9 KOs), will look to defend his unbeaten record and make it eight straight by stoppage against former world title challenger Radivoje Kalajdzic (29-2, 21 KOs).

An all-USA clash will provide the drama with former unified heavyweight world champion Andy Ruiz Jr. (35-2, 22 KOs) returning after almost two years to battle Jarrell Miller (26-1-1, 22 KOs). Miller will be looking to reinstate his reputation as a man to be feared since losing his undefeated record in December last year.

Another Heavyweight fight will see Jared “The Real Big Baby” Anderson stepping up against fellow knockout artist Martin Bakole. Olympic Lightweight gold medallist Andy Cruz will kick off proceedings, looking to continue his excellent run of form against Mexican Antonio Moran.

Peter Oliver, CEO of Growth Markets at DAZN, said, “DAZN is proud to have once again been chosen as the global broadcast partner of the Riyadh Season. As the Global Home of Boxing, with over 150 fights a year, fans know they can expect all the best action on DAZN, and we can’t wait to deliver on August 3.

World Boxing News will cover the event live on August 3. The Crawford vs. Madrimov bout and others will be subject to the WBN live scorecard.

WBN reported concerns over ticket sales, which are currently being tackled by promotions for the expected 30,000 attendees.
