Round by Round
1 | Strong start by Makhmudov, who stalks Allen throughout the round. Allen landed a solid shot, but the Russian constantly backed him up.
2 | Makhmudov takes time after a low blow, then comes on strong and wobbles Allen, who is clearly looking for a huge counter. Allen lands a few at the end of the session.
3 | Allen is taking too many shots as Makhmudov paws with the jab. The Doncaster man landed the occasional big shot to excite a raucous crowd, making themselves heard.
4 | Sensing the punishment coming from Makhmudov, Allen has upped his urgency but still can’t do enough to win a round.
5 | First round for Allen, who comes alive with superb combinations of body and uppercuts. Best session so far for Allen, who again had to take punishment to land.
6 | The better work from Makhmudov, who seems to be running out of steam a little. There’s a sense that the later rounds could be good for Allen if he lasts a few more minutes.
7 | Makhmudov was well on top in that round but lost a point in the final few seconds for persistent fouls.

Josh Padley boxed with poise and precision to earn a clear unanimous decision over Reece Bellotti in their ten-round contest. Judges scored it 99-92, 97-93, 97-93, all in favor of Padley, who claims the WBA International Super Featherweight Title with the biggest win of his career.
Hamza Uddin def. Paul Roberts – TKO, Round 5
Uddin delivered a dominant display, sending Roberts to the canvas three times with body shots in the fifth. Roberts’ corner eventually called an end to the fight, giving Uddin the vacant BBBofC English Flyweight Title. The win improves his record to 6-0 and confirms him as one of Britain’s brightest young prospects at flyweight.
